Cyber Make FAQ: Buying and Printing STL Files

By the Cyber Make team · Last updated October 17, 2026

Here are answers to the questions we hear most about buying, downloading and printing STL files from Cyber Make. If your question is not here, our team is happy to help on the contact page.

Quick answer: Cyber Make sells digital 3D printable files, not physical products. After checkout you download your STL files from the order email or your account’s Downloads page, then print them on your own 3D printer. Files cost $1.99 to $7.99, and we fix, replace or refund files that are broken or not as described.

What do I buy on Cyber Make?

You buy a digital file, usually an STL, that you download and print yourself. Nothing is shipped to you, and no physical item is included. You need access to a 3D printer, either your own or one at a makerspace, library or print service. Each product page shows the model name, category and description so you can check what you are getting before you buy.

How do I download my files after buying?

Your files are available right after checkout. You get a download link in your order confirmation email, and you can also find every purchase on your account’s Downloads page. Sign in, open Downloads and click the file name to save it. If a link does not work or the email does not arrive, check your spam folder and then contact us.

What file formats do you provide?

Every model comes as an STL file, the standard format for 3D printing. Some models may include other formats, depending on how the design was prepared. Check the product description to see what is included. If you need a specific format, ask us before you buy. Read more in our guide on what an STL file is.

Which 3D printers and slicers can I use?

STL files work with almost every FDM and resin printer. Open them in any common slicer, such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer or Chitubox, then slice and print as usual. You choose the scale, supports, layer height and infill. Very small or detailed models usually print best on a resin printer.

How much do files cost?

Most files cost between $1.99 and $7.99, with prices shown in US dollars. Simple functional parts are at the low end. Detailed miniatures and multi-part models are at the higher end. You pay once per file and can print it as many times as you like for personal use.

Can I get a refund on a digital file?

Because files are delivered instantly, sales are final once a file has been downloaded. If a file is broken, will not open, or does not match its description, contact us and we will fix it, replace it or refund you. Full details are in our Terms of sale.

What am I allowed to do with the files?

Files are licensed for personal use. You can print them for yourself, your home, your hobbies and gifts for friends and family. You may not share, resell or upload the files anywhere else. If you want to sell physical prints made from a file, please contact us first and ask.

I need help printing. Where do I start?

Start with our step-by-step guide to printing an STL file. It covers slicing, orientation, supports and common settings. Most print problems come from bed adhesion, wet filament or missing supports, so check those first. If a specific model gives you trouble, contact us with a photo and your slicer settings.

How do multi-part models work?

Some larger models come split into several parts so each piece fits on a normal print bed and needs fewer supports. Print each part, then join them with glue, pins or the connectors built into the design. Some catalog listings are single parts of a larger model, so check the product name and description to see what is included.

Are your files sold only on Cyber Make?

We do not promise that a file is sold only on our site. Our focus is clear listings, fair low prices and support when something goes wrong. If you think a file was listed by mistake, or that it belongs to you, contact us and we will look into it quickly.
